Jo Bixby
Jo graduated in 2002 with an Honours degree in Law and in 2003 obtained an LLM in Media and Entertainment. She trained at the specialist global intellectual property firm Rouse Legal and qualified in 2009. Jo worked as the Brand Protection Legal Counsel for Unilever UK & Ireland prior to joining Davenport Lyons in January 2012.
Jo specialises in intellectual property including trade marks, passing off, design right, copyright and domain name disputes. Jo has experience acting for world leading brand owners in enforcing their intellectual property rights on both a UK and international level. This includes involvement with investigation companies and enforcement authorities including Customs and Trading Standards. She has experience in advising a wide range of industry sectors including retail, media, fashion, car and motor vehicle manufacturers and telecommunications.
Most recently, Jo’s experience has involved advising on the legal and operational side of a large anti-counterfeiting and infringing grey goods programme in the UK & Ireland.
Outside of work Jo enjoys going to the theatre, yoga, travel and eating out.
