Judith Gershon
Judith graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 1976. She was a Partner at Eversheds before joining Davenport Lyons as a Partner in July 2009.
Judith’s practice focuses on real estate finance including debt, mezzanine and equity finance, bilateral and syndicated lending. Judith’s non transactional work has covered writing standard loan documentation and a project analysing the risk associated with deeds storage management for a residential mortgage provider.
She has considerable experience acting for both lenders and borrowers in funding property investment and development transactions with a wide range of borrower types, from limited partnerships to overseas corporations to educational institutions to housing associations within the not-for-profit sector.
In the latest edition of The Legal 500 she has been described as ‘excellent, with a wealth of experience; very proactive’.
Judith Gershon has a leading role in the firm's relationship with HSBC as well as other Banks including Santander, Deutsche Bank Private Wealth, Co-operative Bank, Svenska Handelsbanken and RBS/NatWest Real Estate Finance.
Clients enjoy working with her, saying she is "very hands-on – we have built up an honest and open relationship, which is a major benefit to us." (Chambers 2012).
Judith is a member of the Investment Property Forum.
