Katie Edwards
Katie Edwards graduated from The University of Manchester in 2003 with an Honours degree in History. She enrolled with The College of Law, Chester in 2004, where she completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. Katie trained at George Davies Solicitors LLP in Manchester before qualifying in 2009 and joining Davenport Lyons in 2012.
Katie specialises in commercial dispute resolution and her practice focuses on a full range of litigation matters.
Katie has experience in advising corporate and individual clients in relation to claims for breach of contract, partnership and shareholder disputes, defamation, professional negligence matters and insolvency proceedings. This includes involvement in claims at all stages, from pre-action and issue of proceedings through to settlement negotiations and trial.
More recently, Katie has assisted clients with the defence of a multi-million pound injunction issued in favour of major pharmaceutical company for an alleged breach of patent relating to a popular pharmaceutical product. She has also advised numerous corporate clients in relation claims for outstanding debts and has assisted them with the introduction of effective internal debt collection and management systems.
In her spare time Katie likes to travel and also enjoys reading, the theatre and spending time with friends and family.
