Sandeep Bains
Sandeep graduated from Queen Mary & Westfield College, London in 2002 with an Honours degree in Law. She trained at Goodman Ray and Jeffrey Green Russell and qualified in October 2006 joining Davenport Lyons in 2007.
Sandeep‘s practice focuses on a range of commercial property matters including landlord and tenant management work and assisting in acquisitions and disposals. Sandeep also has experience in dealing with high value residential acquisitions.
Recent experience includes:
- Acting on the sale of a portfolio of properties in Clerkenwell for a consideration of over £5m.
- Acting on the auction sale of two petrol stations for a total consideration of £3m.
- Advising on the assignment of three leases relating to a pre-pack administration.
- Acting on numerous licences to assign and licences to make alterations for various clients.
- Assisting in acting for a consortium of private investors to acquire British Land’s flagship office development in the City of London for a consideration of £527million. This was the UK’s biggest single asset commercial property acquisition at the time of completion.
- Acting on the acquisition of the largest of the Albion Riverside Penthouses designed by Norman Foster & Partners for close to the asking price of £9.95m. This price set a new record for a riverside property south of the river and a new benchmark for the area at the time of the acquisition.
Sandeep is an active member of the Society of Asian Lawyers (SAL) and held the position of Co-Secretary from 2007 to 2009.
