| Elizabeth graduated
from Bristol University in 1994 with an Honours degree
in English Literature. She trained at Slaughter &
May and qualified into their Banking & Financial
Regulation group in March 1999 before joining Davenport
Lyons in January 2001. She became an Associate in
January 2005.
Her recent film and television production and finance
experience includes:
- Advising Gold Circle Films (the producers of,
“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”)
in relation to production, finance and distribution
for the Schedule 1 British film, “The
Wedding Date” (starring Debra Messing;
Dermot Mulroney and Jack Davenport); the Canadian-UK
co-production, “White Noise”
(starring Michael Keaton and Deborah Unger) and
forthcoming film productions.
- Advising Matrix Film Finance on numerous sale
and leaseback films including in relation to the
films, “A Good Woman”, “Alexander”
and “Crime Novel”.
- Advising Alliance & Leicester in connection
with their posting of a letter of credit in relation
to the sale and leaseback of the latest Bond film,
“Casino Royale”.
- Advising Studio Eight Limited in connection with
“Shadows in the Sun” starring Harvey
Keitel and Joshua Jackson.
- Advising Barclays Bank plc in the structured
financing for various television series including
“Bad Girls” and “Footballers’
Wives”.
- Assisting in advising The Little Entertainment
Company in relation to the financing and distribution
of the children’s programme, “Roman
Mysteries”.
- Advising numerous new producers in connection
with their development and pre-production work through
until final production and completion of the film/television
programme.
- Advising on start-up situations, shareholder
agreements and joint ventures recently acting for
music and TV production and promotions companies
and talent agencies.
- Advising on aspects of film finance generally.
