About Us
Vincenza qualified as a solicitor in the tax department at Lovells in 1991. She joined KPMG in 1994 to specialise in VAT and, in particular, VAT litigation, returning to general corporate practice in 1997, prior to joining Davenport Lyons from Herbert Smith. She became an Associate with Davenport Lyons in July 2004.

Vincenza specializes in dealing with a wide range of general corporate and property investment finance matters, PFI (both from a public and private sector perspective), stamp duty planning, VAT planning and VAT litigation. Her expertise and selected client experience includes:

  • Advising the NHS Trust on the re-acquisition of a previously privatised hospital;
  • Advising US investment banks on the tax efficient structuring of substantial investment in UK property including tax efficient structuring of the financing;
  • Advising on the tax efficient financing and structuring of the Selfridges redevelopment;
  • Advising BG in respect of tax efficient disposals;
  • Advising NU in respect of various stamp duty planning arrangements;
  • Advising generally in respect of various PFI transactions from both the private and public sector perspective, in particular the FCO on the construction of the new British Embassy in Berlin and various NHS Trust, Department of Education and MOD projects;
  • Advising generally as to the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and corporate re-organisations;
  • Advising major property investment companies on sale and leasebacks of property developments;
  • Advising Connex on a sale and leaseback of rollingstock;
  • Advising the Department of Transport in respect of VAT on the privatisation of British Rail.
