head of the Private Client department at KSB Law,
Linda joined Davenport Lyons in October 2006 as a
partner in the Tax and Trusts Group.
Linda has considerable experience of matrimonial work
both at KSB Law and her previous firm, Harbottle &
Lewis. However she will now focus on all aspects of
wills, estates, estate planning, probate and related
capital taxes, contentious probate, enduring powers
of attorney and advice on Guardianship Office matters;
trust drafting and related tax advice.
Her private client experience includes:
- Drafting tax efficient wills in conjunction with
estate planning.
- Drafting trusts for tax and protection purposes
and the administration of trusts.
- Facilitating offshore trusts.
- Administration of estates including those with
foreign property.
- Drafting enduring powers of attorney and related
matters.
- Inheritance Act claims - Linda recently won a
case in the Court of Appeal on a preliminary issue
of domicile which has been widely reported in the
legal and accountancy press.
