Marilyn joined Davenport Lyons in 1999, she qualified as a solicitor in 1984 having taken her degree from London University in 1982. In 1994 she obtained an additional degree from Kings College, London in construction law.

She was a Partner with Franks Charlesly & Co. for several years before joining Davenport Lyons.

She has always, since qualifying, dealt with property matters and in particular commercial property projects. She acts for property investors acquiring major portfolios and with regard to the disposal of such portfolios. This work also includes dealing with the wide range of legal services required by property investors who manage multi-let, mixed, office and shopping centre properties.

She is a specialist in property management legal work providing a cost conscious and efficient service.

She also acts for developers taking matters through from site acquisition to funding and subsequently with regard to sales and leases.

Marilyn also deals with banks and institutional lenders with regard to both residential and commercial properties.

Her expertise in construction work has led to her being instructed in construction matters both contentious and non-contentious.
