| Peter
graduated from Vassar College, New York with a degree
in English in 1989. He worked as a writer and freelance
journalist in Israel and the UK before studying for
a degree in English law. Peter trained at Nabarro
Nathanson and qualified as a corporate commercial
solicitor in March 2000 before joining Davenport Lyons
in August 2001. He became an Associate in July 2004
and a Partner in 2007.
Peter has experience in general corporate matters,
mergers and acquisitions and property finance. He
also has specific interest in media and sport related
projects and has gained experience on secondment at
international sports management agency, IMG and its
television affiliate, TransWorld International. Peter
is a non-executive director of a Sport England subsidiary
responsible for overseeing the development of the
Redgrave-Pinsent Rowing Lakes, the elite training
facility for the UK international rowing.
Peter has been involved with developing foreign investment
into the UK and has advised on structural issues relating
to tax, property and re-financing arrangements for
overseas investors.
Peter's experience includes:
- Negotiating shareholders' agreements for joint
ventures.
- Assisting in the acquisition and sale of companies
and businesses in the UK and overseas.
- Advising US developers and UK Plcs on the funding
and development arrangements for UK real estate
projects.
- Drafting commercial agreements including licensing,
sponsorship, sport and broadcasting contracts.
- Providing corporate restructuring advice to UK
plcs, private investors and limited companies.
- Advising on the establishment of investment vehicles
for joint ventures, particularly the use of limited
partnerships.
- Providing general advice in relation to the implications
of the Financial Services and Markets Act and other
regulatory matters.
