| As from 1
January 2007, as a result of the Companies Act 2006 and subordinate
regulations coming into force, companies must include, in all electronic-form
business letters (i.e. emails) and on any website, details of the company's
full (registered) name, place of registration (e.g. England and Wales),
registered number and registered office. Failure to do so is a criminal
offence with individual directors potentially being liable themselves
for up to £1,000.
