Davenport Lyons’ Property Team

Janet Ayres

15 December 2009

The property market may be in a recession, seeing the “green shoots” of recovery or just about to tumble into the second decline in a “W” shaped crash, but at Davenport Lyons we like to buck the trends.

Whilst most law firms in the City, across London and throughout the country have been cutting back and/or making people redundant in 2009, at Davenport Lyons located here in Mayfair, we have taken the opportunity to actually expand our Property team by the addition of not one or two but six new fee earners with, we hope, two more arriving in early 2010.

By taking on Ian Chappell and Adrian Bingham, two property litigators from Hextalls, and their assistant, Kirk Page, we have significantly added to our construction team and we can now offer a full contentious and non-contentious construction service. Adrian also has expertise and experience in the indemnity insurance field where he has not only advised clients but acted as mediator in numerous disputes.

Susan Lewis and Andrew Li are new arrivals on the transactional side, Susan having wide experience of commercial property transactions generally and the hotel and leisure sector in particular, whilst Andrew has a diverse and extremely loyal client base that includes developers, a care home operator, a waste/energy company and a number of property investors.

Across the board we are now a full service department offering an excellent, personal but affordable service to all our clients.

As for our new arrivals for early 2010, well, watch this space!
