
Davenport Lyons Greets 2011 with Two New Partners

Law firm Davenport Lyons continues to expand its stable of sector specialists and grow its partnership with the appointment of two new partners, Angela Stallard and Phillip D’Costa.
Angela joins the firm’s insolvency team from SJ Berwin LLP. Angela deals with all aspects of reconstruction and insolvency, focusing upon non-contentious matters. She has extensive experience in acting for all those affected by, or involved with, the financial health of an entity, including investors, private equity houses, venture capitalists, financial institutions, accountancy firms, creditors and other stakeholders and, of course, management.
Her experience covers the full range of services required by such clients in a wide variety of industry sectors including, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, media, telecommunications, hotels and leisure, automotive and construction.
Phillip D’Costa was formerly a partner at Hill Dickinson LLP and joins the dispute resolution team at Davenport Lyons. Phillip specialises in commercial and banking and financial services litigation, arbitration and ADR. He has particular experience of complex cross border cases involving fraud, freezing orders and asset tracing.
Phillip has acted for a broad range of clients, from high net worth individuals and families, to banks and hedge funds. He has a strong interest in India and is regularly involved in facilitating trade and investments into or from the subcontinent.
Their arrival continues Davenport Lyons’ strategic growth, with 18 senior appointments made in the last two years.
