Davenport Lyons represents Côte Brasserie in Bluewater

Davenport Lyons has advised longstanding client Côte Restaurants on their latest opening of a new restaurant in the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.

The deal that was put together in less than two weeks and sees the expanding French brasserie-style restaurant group purchase the site of a substantial restaurant from CG Restaurants (UK) Limited and was previously a “Café du Village”.

The deal, which saw a simultaneous purchase from the current tenant, surrender and grant of a new lease by the landlord, BlueCo Limited will enable Côte to open a restaurant with 140 covers internally and 100 externally and is located in The Village area of Bluewater.

Stuart Darlington, partner and head of the retail and leisure property team at Davenport Lyons, said: “This new site in the prestigious Bluewater shopping centre is the first foray for the Côte group into Kent. We were delighted to help them secure this substantial site and in such a short time.”
