Davenport Lyons Welcomes Two New Partners

12 Jul 2011

Leading West End law firm Davenport Lyons has announced the appointment of two new partners to its growing Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams.

Abesh Choudhury joins the firm’s Corporate team from McDermott, Will and Emery LLP. His appointment, following that of Sukh Ahark in November 2010, continues the firm’s investment in specialist banking expertise. Abesh will focus on financial services regulatory law and the law relating to financial institutions.

Meanwhile Nicholas Yapp joins the firm’s Dispute Resolution team - another practice area being actively developed by the firm – from Crawford Solicitors. Nicholas will advise on all aspects of commercial litigation and is particularly experienced in advising the retail automotive industry.

Welcoming the two new partners Michael Hatchwell, Business Group Head at Davenport Lyons, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Abesh and Nicholas to the firm. Their experience complements the established specialisms in Davenport Lyons’ existing banking and dispute resolution teams and we look forward to applying their expertise, to the benefit of our wide portfolio of clients.”

Davenport Lyons is also delighted to announce the promotion of assistants Mark Heritage, Natasha Duffy-Jones and Angharad Davies to the position of associate in our Intellectual Property, Corporate and Property teams respectively.
